Local data / 本地数据

The extension stores settings, subtitle cache, Inbox items, favorites, notes, tags, review schedules, learning history, and a locally generated profile identifier in Chrome local storage and IndexedDB. A DeepSeek API key entered by the user is stored only in Chrome local storage. English Cue does not operate an account or synchronization server.

扩展会在 Chrome 本地存储和 IndexedDB 中保存设置、字幕缓存、Inbox、收藏、笔记、标签、复习计划、学习记录以及本机生成的档案标识。用户填写的 DeepSeek API Key 仅保存在 Chrome 本地存储。English Cue 不提供账户或同步服务器。

Supported video pages / 视频页面

The extension accesses subtitle and player information from the Bilibili or YouTube page the user is viewing. It uses this information only to display subtitles, follow playback time, seek the player, and preserve the source of a learning item.

扩展会读取用户当前浏览的哔哩哔哩或 YouTube 页面中的字幕和播放器信息，仅用于展示字幕、跟随播放时间、播放器回跳以及记录学习项来源。

DeepSeek processing / DeepSeek 数据处理

Only when the user explicitly clicks a Deep Learning or chat action and has configured a DeepSeek API key, the selected expression, subtitle sentence, nearby subtitle context, dictionary result, and the user's question may be sent directly to the configured DeepSeek API endpoint. English Cue does not receive this request. DeepSeek's own privacy terms apply.

只有当用户主动点击“深度学习”或发送 Chat，且已配置 DeepSeek API Key 时，所选表达、对应字幕句、附近字幕上下文、词典结果和用户问题才可能由扩展直接发送到用户配置的 DeepSeek API 地址。English Cue 不会接收这些请求；DeepSeek 对相关数据的处理适用其自身隐私条款。

Permissions / 权限用途

• storage：保存本地设置和学习数据。
• activeTab：识别并连接当前打开的受支持视频页。
• sidePanel：提供扩展的学习界面。
• Bilibili / YouTube 网站访问：读取公开字幕和播放器信息，并在用户操作后控制回跳。
• api.deepseek.com：仅在用户提供 API Key 并主动发起 AI 学习请求时使用。

Sharing and sale / 共享与出售

English Cue does not sell personal data, use data for advertising, or transfer data for credit, lending, or unrelated profiling. Data is disclosed to DeepSeek only as described above and only after a user action.

English Cue 不出售个人数据，不将数据用于广告、征信、借贷或无关画像。除上述由用户主动触发的 DeepSeek 请求外，不向第三方披露学习数据。

User control / 用户控制

Users can edit or delete learning items, clear local learning data, remove the stored API key, and export or import data from Settings. Uninstalling the extension removes its Chrome-managed local data according to Chrome behavior.

用户可以在设置中编辑或删除学习项、清空本地学习数据、移除 API Key，并导入或导出数据。卸载扩展后，Chrome 会按照浏览器机制删除扩展管理的本地数据。
